Gramicci
Gramicci was born from the climbing revolution of 1970s Yosemite Valley, where the Stonemasters pioneered a new approach to movement and outdoor style. Founded by climber Mike Graham, Gramicci first introduced innovative climbing shorts designed for flexibility, featuring a diamond-shaped gusset, durable construction, and an integrated one-handed adjustable nylon belt.
Launched officially in 1982, Gramicci quickly became known for its functional design and iconic “running man” logo, embraced not only by the climbing community but also by surfers, skaters, and streetwear culture. At the heart of the brand is the legendary Gramicci G Pant, built for unrestricted movement and technical durability.
Now long established in Japan, Gramicci continues to lead in climbing-inspired apparel, blending heritage design with modern performance for life both outdoors and everyday.

Gramicci – Climbing Roots, Everyday Essentials
Functional design, relaxed fits, and movement without restriction
In our opinion, Gramicci is one of the best entry points into contemporary menswear. Founded in 1982 in Ventura, California by climber Mike Graham, the brand was built on the need for durable, flexible clothing that could handle the demands of rock climbing.
As part of the legendary Stonemasters group, Graham developed the now-iconic G-Pants, featuring a gusseted crotch for full 180-degree movement, a built-in nylon belt, and hard-wearing fabrics designed to last. Those same details still define the brand today.
Styles like the G-Pant and Loose Tapered Ridge are some of our biggest sellers in-store, striking the perfect balance between function and everyday wear. Thanks to the elasticated waist and integrated nylon belt, they’re what we’d call a “Christmas Day pant”, built for comfort, easy adjustment, and, if needed, a quick loosening after one too many down the pub… not that we’re suggesting anything.
What started on the granite walls of Yosemite quickly spread through surfing and skating scenes, before gaining a cult following in Japan in the ‘90s as part of the wider streetwear movement.
Today, Gramicci continues to build on its climbing heritage while embracing modern style, summed up perfectly in their mantra: “Freedom Of Movement.”
