Our company was established in 1941 by founder Akira Yokota. The name “NANGA” is derived from the Himalayan mountain Nanga Parbat, which stands at 8,126 meters and is the ninth-highest mountain in the world.

What sets this mountain apart is its reputation as one of the most challenging peaks to climb. Due to the numerous fatalities that have occurred on its slopes, it has earned the nickname “Killer Mountain.”
